Her Story

Juno was married to the Roman god Jupiter (Greek god Zeus) and thus represents the wife and life partner. Juno’s energies have moved on from Aphrodite’s courting phase, to a fuller commitment to share her physical, emotional and spiritual self through union with a soul mate.

Juno (Greek goddess Hera) protected her status as Queen of Olympus with a passion. She did not ignore her husband’s philandering, but took her revenge on the concubines, conquests and even his illegitimate offspring (eg Hercules), thereby preserving what she saw was a happy union (and her image as a diligent and devoted wife).

The month of June was named after this goddess (falling in summer in the northern hemisphere, and therefore a time considered an extra fortuitous time for weddings).

Her Modern Energy

Literally, Juno is epitome of a strong woman who can say, “I deepen my willingness to give and receive unconditional love.”

With the energy of this patron goddess of soul-unions at its strongest, now is the time to focus on elements of a relationship you hold most important: loyalty, fidelity, intimacy, inter-dependence, mutual respect, equality and the list goes on.

Reconnect With Your Inner Juno

Make this April 21, or December (southern hemisphere) or June (northern hemisphere) a time to reflect on your relationship (or past relationships).

Is there a recurrent theme through your relationships that cause them to break up? If so, the problem may really be with you – spend today listening to your intuition and refine your self-definition by working on your solar plexus chakra. You will know if you are on the wrong path if you feel “butterflies” – this feeling is your solar plexus chakra working to prepare you to succeed in spectacular style!

Carry a yellow stone, wear yellow, or light a fire to help remind you take some time for yourself while you gather the energy to emerge refreshed and focussed.

If you are in the relationship of your dreams, devote this day to gratitude.

I am glad I came into this world able to think and reason.

I am glad I came into this world able to feel sorrow and joy.

I am glad I came into this world able to respond to love and truth.

I am glad I came into this world able to feel and care for others.

I am glad I came into this world able to know my uniqueness.

I am glad I came into this world able to move toward completion.

What Would Juno Do?

… If she were in your situation she would be ready to share her physical, emotional and spiritual Self with her partner, on equally trusting terms as she receives him. Intimacy is not an issue when she is in a committed and trusting union. She would also foster elements of a relationship that bring it success: loyalty, fidelity, inter-dependence, mutual respect and equality.
